Very peaceful and ambient atmosphere. Loved the Wagyu set meal, which was gentle on the stomach but also filling. The range of tofu dishes were delicious. We had the rice option but wish we tried the yuba over rice option. The staff were attentive as well.

It was our first time trying yuba and it tastes really good! The lady who served us was very friendly and speaks English well. We didn’t eat at the restaurant on the back, but they provide some seatings at the store up front so we can eat our yuba there

Yuba … why not when it’s done in 6 different ways. This restaurant is in Gion and houses in a lovely designed shop that matches the food it serves - light, airy and refreshing. The set may not be cheap at 3,200yen (if my memory serves me right) but the variety of Yuba done in different ways was well worth the prices.

It's a taste of Kyoto cuisine and magic. Did you get squeezed by all the crowds going up to the temple? Feel like you are so tired and all the travel blogs lied to you? Come here, eat here. I couldn't find this yuba outside of Japan and wish that I had eaten here every day. Every dish we had was perfect, the ambience is peaceful, it's like an oasis away from the crowds and restoring of your peace. It sounds like I'm exaggerating, but I'm really not! Please go enjoy this gem and have a beautiful time.

Something unique that you would most probably have it only in Japan or perhaps at this Kyoto shop. Gluten free I supposed as all dishes made from soy. Soy done in various ways and combinations. The latte is really nice, especially the Hojicha soy latte. Also don’t forgot to order the fried yube chips, which goes super well as a snack. Lastly, Good hospitality from the young owner.

Highly recommend!! My first time visiting Kyoto! The store staff is very kind and the drinks are amazing - I got the Soy Caramel Latte 3 times in the same day! This café is also very accommodating to English-speakers. I spilled my drink a bit on the third purchase, but the staff was again very kind and understanding! Thank you so, so much :)

The set meals are delicious and incredibly unique. It didn’t hit the spot for my three kids, two of which are teenagers, but my wife and I loved it. The lunch price was a bit more expensive than anticipated given the price point showing on Google Maps, but I still highly recommend it for the experience and food. It’s especially great for anyone eating gluten-free (GF), as my daughter does—though nothing is vegetarian (V) since it all has fish elements in the dishes. But just look at this beautiful food!
